About

Hey, I’m Sydney Yack! A music industry professional from the GTA, driven by passion, creativity, and the determination to bring bold ideas to life.

 

In just a few weeks, I’ll be graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Professional Music and a minor in Communication Design from Toronto Metropolitan University, holding a 4.16 CGPA—always pushing myself to learn, experiment, and level up. Case in point: I built this entire website in a few hours because when I set my mind to something, I make it happen.
 

I turn roadblocks into launchpads, keeping artists organized, on track, and ahead of the curve. Whether it’s running industry events, crafting viral content, or managing chaotic schedules, I thrive in the fast-paced world of music.
 

Beyond my industry work, I was elected as the first-ever President of my course union, where I built a creative community from the ground up, proving that when people believe in me, I show up and deliver.
 

I bring dedication, adaptability, and an eye for what works. If it’s about creating, organizing, and making things happen, I’m in. Let’s build something great together!

Wax Records | Sept 2024 – Present

  • Drove an +8.91K TikTok follower increase and +90K likes for Ash Molloy in just three months by monitoring trends, performing content audits, and filming/editing content

  • Took detailed meeting minutes for weekly social media strategy meetings, inputting creative content ideas and tracking action items for artists and staff

  • Updated the Wax Records website, handled ACTRA RACS spreadsheets, and assisted with urgent artist needs

  • Built EPKs, secured festival slots (NXNE), updated live performance calender, and scheduled content shoots

Founder & Marketing Manager

Jassca Marketing | Jan 2024 – Present

  • Secured a USD $1,300 partnership between BandLab and artist Sally Shaar

  • Captured professional video, iPhone and photo content on tour with Scott Helman

  • Filmed and posted 200+ early access QR code stickers across Augusta Ave to promote Scott Helman’s album re-release

  • Executed high-impact fan engagement campaigns, driving 2.7K+ pre-saves, collecting 2.3K+ fan emails, and growing TikTok by 7.4K+ followers through interactive activations like pre-save rewards and fan-voted cover art
